Happy almost snow day!

Happy Hump Day!  Or, "Feliz Ombligo!" as they say in Spanish... translated as "Happy Belly Button!" in English.  Yes, I know... #dorkylanguageteacher   But, so fun that they think of "belly button" as the center of the body for the analogy of how we think of getting over the "hump" of a camel or hill in the middle of the week!

A few things to cheer about already this week, especially since I think it's always difficult to get back into the routine during the first few days after we all return from Christmas Break.  Although we have had a mild winter in East Tennessee so far, it has gotten colder in the last few days.  And, our school just announced a delayed start to school tomorrow.  Woohoo!  I could use those extra two hours in the morning to get in a run on the treadmill or finish some lesson planning for the next week... I haven't decided which to do yet, but two hours of extra time (during which I will FIRST drop off Reagan at Day Care while we're paying for it!) is excellent news!

Second, our noisy neighbors FINALLY moved out of their apartment next door to us.  Hooray!!!  They moved in only just last June, but they have been OBNOXIOUS to the MAX!  We don't even know who they were nor what they did to educate themselves or make money... We would hear them and their loud subwoofer and music or movies or whatever they were listening to and watching in their apartment at the craziest hours... from 11:00 PM when we went to sleep to 3:00 AM when I woke up to feed and change Reagan's diapers to 6:00 AM when I woke up to take care of Reagan again and to get ready for work.  We contacted our apartment managers several times and knocked on the door of our neighbors several times, but nothing changed... We were ecstatic when we saw the moving trucks outside of our apartment Monday morning!

Reagan is feeling much better since her three doctor visits in the last two weeks!  I am so glad that my dad and I took Reagan to the pediatrician in Wisconsin over Christmas Break to get her some antibiotics because they are definitely working!  We don't use the Nose Frida nearly as often (which I DEFINITELY recommend to new moms... best item from our registry!!!)

David is super proud of Reagan's ever-growing fluffy hair.  I say it looks like David's "Dennis the Menace" hair when David wakes up in the morning.  #zoolander #modelpose

Although Reagan received an "excellent report" from the day care teachers on Monday, they implied that I need to be doing more "tummy time" with Reagan at home.  They said that Reagan is "always smiley" except for when they try to play with her on her tummy during the day.  Well, we better get to work if we want our little girl to start rolling, crawling and walking with the big kids!
