Starting Soilds! Jan. 31

Today was the day... Reagan started to eat "solid foods," or foods that were "less liquid" than her normal milk snacks, AKA mushed veggies and fruits.

After getting the official "Okay" and "Go ahead" from the pediatrician at Reagan's 6-month doctor's appointment on Friday, we decided to dive into the deep end and give Reagan some solid food apart from the breast milk, then formula milk (as of early January), and some rice formula milk mix.

We started with creamed green beans (Gerber brand) in the morning, and Reagan was NOT eating any of it.  Then, thanks to FaceBook, David posted the hilarious video of Reagan's disgusted expression after eating her green bean mix, and some of our friends recommended that she start with carrots, sweet potatoes or squash before green beans.  So, I switched to the carrots this afternoon, and Reagan definitely ate much more of her mushed carrots than of the green beans from at 7:30 this morning!

This high chair that Grandma Nancy gave to Baby Reagan is AMAZING!  It is so easy to put away in the corner to save space in our little apartment, and it is easy to move around.  It is very light, and as it advertises, we can use it as a "tail gate" high chair and bring it to games or just people's houses... for example, if we go to Walt and Mary Margaret's Super Bowl Party tomorrow night, we can easily transport this high chair to the party!  (Plus, as you will notice in the photos at the bottom, David models how you can put your own choice of beverage in the high chair while you are feeding the baby, since you will probably be hard at work holding the baby's beverage in your hand and taking care of her!)
