First weekend away from Reagan

Last weekend, Reagan was without either of her parents for the first time!  My mom drove down from Wisconsin to take care of Reagan in Knoxville while David and I traveled down to Atlanta for his college roommate's wedding.  Reagan turned seven months over the weekend on Feb. 28th.
But, the entire week before last weekend when we left for Atlanta, I had been out of school because we had such nasty weather from ice and snow on the roads that I went to school for one and a half days!  Reagan and I had lots of mother-daughter bonding time, and David even needed to stay home a few days because we could not drive on the unplowed, unsalted roads here in Knoxville, Tennessee.

David styled Reagan's hair before we left for the weekend.  Her hair is getting so long that we sometimes wet it down when we want to change her hair from the "just got out of bed" fluffy hair look.

We gave a golf ball to Reagan and are getting her familiar with it before she starts learning the game.  David has already been looking up sets of golf clubs for 2-year-olds!  She doesn't turn 2 years until July 2016...

Reagan had a great time with Grandma Susan over the weekend!  They had their special grandmother-granddaughter talks while we were gone in Atlanta!

David and I started the wedding weekend off with some drinks at the bar.
This picture that I took of David is a mirror image of the picture that my mom took of Reagan in Knoxville while she took care of her granddaughter!

Then, we went to "The Flying Biscuit" for breakfast (both days) of the wedding weekend, because it was just so good.  They had the best biscuits that I had ever eaten!  I usually like butter on my bread and biscuits, but this restaurant had some delicious apple butter (not sure what it was or still is...) to go with the biscuit, and I got the same thing both days!

 IT'S THE FLYING BISCUIT!!!!

"SELFIE" on our walk through Mid-town Atlanta
These statues that we kept on passing during our walk back from breakfast to the hotel reminded me of the statues that we saw in Savannah, Georgia, on our spring break trip back in 2013, and while they are beautiful in a sense, they sort of creeped me out!
We kept on seeing them in Mid-town Atlanta!
We eventually made it back to the W Hotel to relax (check out this crazy chair) before the wedding at 7:00.  It seemed like a late wedding to us, so I told David that I definitely needed to eat something beforehand because I wouldn't be able to go without food from lunch until 8:30 PM.  We stopped at "The Nook," a small restaurant on Piedmont Avenue with amazingly delicious food very close to our hotel in Mid-town Atlanta.  Their speciality was called "Totchos," which was nachos but with tater tots instead of nacho chips below all of the normal nacho condiments.  We ordered one and it was just what we needed before we headed to the Fernbank Museum of Natural Art for his friend's wedding.
HOWEVER, earlier in the afternoon, we checked off an activity from David's bucket list that he had been talking about for the past five years since we moved down to the Southeast and when he discovered his love for his favorite brewery based in Atlanta: SweetWater Brewery.
It was only open 2:30-4:30 on Saturdays, so we had a limited window to visit the brewery. We used the UBER "taxi service," but not really a taxi service... Look it up, because Google can explain it better than I can, but it was cheaper than a taxi to get a ride from our hotel to the SweetWater Brewery!
David's college friend now living in Texas, Corbin, joined us and we had a great time.
Part of me thinks that David wanted to go to this wedding just because it was in Atlanta, and it gave him an opportunity to visit the SweetWater Brewery!   For $10, we each received a nice beer pint mug, five free drink samples, and a 20-minute tour of the brewery.  So far, SweetWater only has one brewery in Atlanta, but they are expanding their sales to states outside of the Southeast.
Below is our only photo from the actual wedding celebration... David and his other college friend, Will, approached Dick Enberg, the famous sports broadcaster for the San Diego Padres baseball team among other events.  Dick Enberg is the uncle of David's college friend that got married last weekend.  There was a bus shuttle for 10:00, 11:00 and midnight last weekend, and when David and I hopped on the bus for the 11:00 bus back to our hotel, Dick Enberg was sitting there with his wife and shouted to us loaded on, "Hey!  You guys are too young for the 11:00 bus!"  Then, when we stood up to get off of the shuttle bus when it arrived at our hotel, Dick Enberg shouted at us, "Just remember!  If you fall down and don't remember where you are, just look  up and remember that you're at the M!"  Oh, Dick, you cracked us up last Saturday night!
Eventually, we made it home Sunday to our 7-month baby and I think she was happy to see us, but was getting comfortable with her Grandma Susan after spending a fun weekend with her!
